According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Methacrylic acid, polymer with N-(butoxymethyl)acrylamide, ethyl acrylate, styrene, and vinylphosphonic acid.

Intended Use: As a component of coatings, otherwise compliant with 21 CFR 175.300, on metal substrates for single use can ends or on any substrate for repeated use food-contact articles, except for use in contact with infant formula and human milk (see Limitations/Specifications).
Limitations/Specifications: For use as components of coatings applied at a maximum rate of 2.5 milligrams per square inch. Finished coatings containing the FCS may contact aqueous, acidic, and low alcohol (up to 15 percent alcohol) foods, under Conditions of Use C through G, as described in Tables 1 and 2. The FCS is not for use in contact with infant formula and human milk. Such uses were not included as part of the intended use of the substance in the FCN.
